Who is a good candidate?
- Healthy individuals at a stable weight
- Individuals with excess fat and loose skin around their thighs
- Nonsmokers with no medical conditions that affect wound healing
- Realistic expectations and goals
How to Prepare for Surgery
- You may need to do bloodwork and additional investigations
- Stop smoking for 4-6 weeks
- Avoid herbal supplements for 2 weeks
- Avoid aspirin and anti-inflammatories for 1 week

Anesthesia

Incisions
- Inner thigh from the groin to the knee OR,
- Around the groin and upper thigh

Wound care
- A compression garment and small drain may be placed to minimize swelling and bruising. We will
give you specific instructions on how to care for these on the day of your surgery, and how long
you may require these dressings.
