Neck Lift

What is a neck lift?

The neck and hands are often among the first areas to show signs of aging, sometimes even earlier than the face. A neck lift, or cervical rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that rejuvenates the neck by addressing sagging skin and pronounced vertical and transverse bands to help patients achieve a more youthful, refreshed look.

Where will the incisions be placed?

The incisions may involve the hairline, the area around your ear, and the hairline at the back of your head.

Can the bands in my neck return over time?

Although the results of a neck lift are very long lasting, you will continue to age naturally. The vertical and transverse bands may recur over time as a result of this.

What are the risks and complications of surgery?

A necklift is generally a safe procedure, but like all surgery, it carries some risks. These may include bleeding, infection, fluid buildup, swelling, and temporary or permanent changes in skin sensation. Less commonly, patients may experience delayed healing, scarring, hair loss near incision sites, or irregularities in skin appearance. Rare but more serious risks include anesthesia complications, blood clots, or injury to nerves that can affect movement. In some cases, results may be asymmetrical or not meet expectations, and revision surgery may be considered.

How long do the results last?

A neck lift is a transformative investment that typically "sets back the clock" by 10 to 15 years. On average, the results of a neck lift last between 10 to 15 years. However, the natural aging process continues. To maximize the longevity of your refreshed look, we recommend maintaining a stable weight, practicing consistent sun protection, and avoiding smoking, all of which help preserve your skin’s natural elasticity and surgical correction for years to come.
